We have an excellent Board of Trustees – all highly experienced in their field and with a shared purpose to make littlelifts the best it can be. Together, they guide, monitor, and ultimately take responsibility for the way littlelifts operates. Most importantly, they all have a generosity of spirit that is core to the way we work.
Oa Hackett – Founder
Oa lives in Norwich with her husband Greg and dog Norma. She has a passion for whales and in September 2016 was lucky enough to kayak with them in the wild whilst on honeymoon in Canada. Oa studied Philosophy and Cultural Studies at the University of Kent and since graduating in 2008 has worked in the Third Sector enjoying a variety of roles. Getting breast cancer at the age of 28 years old was life changing and very unexpected. Oa is so incredibly grateful to her medical team at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital (NNUH) for providing the support and treatment she needed – now she wants to give something back. With her own experience of breast cancer treatment coupled with the knowledge she has gained from working within the Third Sector, Oa is determined to see that every woman who faces chemotherapy treatment for primary breast cancer at the NNUH is offered a Comfort Box. In the future, the charity aims to support all women across Norfolk and Suffolk, and hopefully beyond!
“The support we receive is phenomenal and I’m very grateful. A special thank you goes to my fellow Trustees who work hard to achieve our objectives to support women who face chemotherapy treatment for primary breast cancer”.Oa Hackett
