Winter News: littlelifts in the headlines

Winter News: littlelifts is in the headlines!

We hope that our #littleliftscommunity is keeping well? It’s been a while since our last update and that’s partly because we’ve had a very busy start to 2020, which is brilliant.

We’ve been working hard to broaden our regional services to more and more people who need a ‘little lift’, and in addition, we’ve launched our online shop which now stocks our signature boxes, and also a new range of gorgeous little miniatures. This means that folks who live outside our current catchment area of Norfolk and Suffolk, can purchase a littlelift for their loved ones throughout the UK and beyond. (All profits go back into littlelifts.)

This winter, we’ve also been making the headlines, both in our region and across the UK, which is pretty exciting stuff. We were delighted to see a review of our signature box in the widely-read Female First, and most recently, the UK’s leading wellbeing magazine, In the Moment, has featured one of our MINIs!

Just before Christmas we were also dead chuffed to be featured in the Daily Telegraph, both in-print and online, in a round-up of the best wellness boxes for Christmas.

Not only that, over the last few years the Eastern Daily Press has been utterly wonderful at supporting our adventures. Most recently they covered our very special ‘lift’ to the Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital in January.

One of our incredible ambassadors, Laura Middleton-Hughes, who has secondary breast cancer, was one of six people who joined us on the short Saxon Air flight, which dropped off a special delivery of littlelifts boxes to the hospital.

It was the first time the boxes have been delivered by helicopter – which certainly lightened our load that week – and as well as helping Mrs Middleton-Hughes tick off an activity from her bucket list, the drop marked the milestone of the 450th box being handed over to the NNUH.

Thanks to support from That’s TV East you can see a full video of the helicopter delivery here.

A huge thanks to our sponsor Saxon Air, and to Laura, who herself became a beneficiary of a littlelifts box when she went through treatment for secondary breast cancer.

Lastly, but by my no means least, the lovely Lauretta Wright, blogger from Home & Horizon, has written about her first-hand experience of receiving a littlelifts box, after undergoing chemotherapy and radiotherapy recently.

Continue to keep your eyes peeled folks, you might see littlelifts pop up in national magazines over the coming weeks and months, as we spread our message a little further afield.

That’s it for now, ‘til our next adventure.

Love Oa x
