October saw an impressive week of fundraising for us here at Little Lifts. During Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we set a goal to raise £10,000, which would be matched by The Big Give as part of their Women & Girls Match Fund Campaign that ran between the 8th and the 15th of October.
We are thrilled to announce that with the help of The Big Give, we achieved our target of raising £10,000, which was match-funded, and so we have raised a total of £20,007! We were delighted to raise such an incredible amount, making this Breast Cancer Awareness Month extra special.
This is a huge win for our small but mighty charity. The funds (raised in just a week!) will enable us to gift over 300 Little Lifts Chemotherapy through our Little Kindness Fund. Helping people facing treatment for primary and secondary breast cancer across the UK.
We feel so privileged to receive wonderful feedback every day, which continues to inspire our small but mighty team. Here is some lovely feedback we received from one of our beneficiaries:
“I found the abundance and quality of the gifts quite overwhelming… It made me feel so uplifted and supported – that someone unknown to me out there really, really cares and gets just how un-special a cancer patient can feel without knowing it. Each time I use one of the little gifts, it reminds me that I am still special, and helps me take care of myself in more and more special ways. Thank you all xxx”
It’s thanks to you that we can help more people feel uplifted, special and seen during their experience of breast cancer.
We are immensely grateful to everyone who donated, helping us to reach our goal! We could not do what we do without the support of our incredible community. So here’s to you! Thank you for helping to support 300 people with a Little Lifts Box, which we hope will make them feel more prepared, supported and thought about. This number is added to the already 10,224 Boxes gifted in 2025 alone.
