Interested in volunteering?

At Little Lifts, our dedicated volunteers are the heartbeat of our charity, helping us make a meaningful impact every day. From packing Boxes to supporting at events, our volunteers truly make the Little Lifts world go round.

Meet some of our amazing volunteers

Graham

Graham joined our volunteer team after tragically losing both his wife Natalie and his daughter Alice to breast cancer. Both were beneficiaries of Little Lifts, receiving our Boxes during their treatment. In gratitude for the support his family received, Graham now volunteers weekly, assisting with deliveries, packing Boxes, and supporting our events. His dedication and positive spirit bring immense value to our team, and we are deeply grateful for Graham’s contributions to Little Lifts.

Laura

Laura, who lives with secondary breast cancer, is not only a volunteer but also our amazing ambassador, spreading awareness of Little Lifts far and wide. In 2023, Laura won the Volunteer of the Year Award at the BBC Radio Norfolk Make a Difference Awards. Her volunteer work includes Box packing, supporting fundraising events, and promoting our cause. Laura also co-founded Secondary Sisters, a charity providing support for those with secondary breast cancer. We are honoured to have her on our team.

Sharon

Sharon first encountered Little Lifts when she received our Radiotherapy Box at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital during her treatment for stage 2 breast cancer. A passionate plant research scientist, Sharon’s vibrant energy shines through her volunteer work. She assists with Box packing and has participated in both our trail run and fashion show. Sharon’s personal experience inspired her to volunteer, and she supports our work with enthusiasm and dedication. We’re incredibly grateful for her!

Annual charity events

Little Lifts breast cancer ball

Since our first ball in May 2018, the Little Lifts breast cancer ball has become an annual event, raising vital funds and awareness for breast cancer support across the UK. Now held every October, this glamorous evening brings together our incredible community of supporters and beneficiaries to celebrate and contribute to our mission.

The ball isn’t just a fundraiser—it’s a chance to celebrate the strength and resilience of our community. From beneficiaries to corporate supporters, everyone has the opportunity to connect, share stories, and celebrate the impact we’re making together.

We’re incredibly grateful for the continued love, support, and generosity that make each event a success.

The Little Lifts x John Lewis Fashion Show

Since its launch, the Little Lifts x John Lewis Fashion Show has become a much-loved event, bringing together our vibrant community to support people affected by breast cancer. Held annually, this unique event spotlights inspiring models who have personally experienced breast cancer or have been impacted by it through loved ones.

More than just a fashion show, it’s a chance to raise funds, share stories, and celebrate the strength and resilience of our models. Styled by the amazing team at John Lewis, the models take to the runway in a variety of looks.

We’re incredibly grateful for the ongoing support from our attendees and partners, who make this event possible. Together, we continue to raise awareness and funds to provide more Little Lifts Boxes, offering vital care and kindness to people undergoing breast cancer treatment across the UK.

Golf Day for breast cancer

Held in the beautiful surroundings of Norfolk, this annual charity golf day offers participants a fantastic day on the golf course while raising vital funds for our cause.

The day includes breakfast to kick off the morning, 18 holes of golf on some of Norfolk’s most stunning greens, and a delicious lunch. Our golfers have the chance to challenge themselves in fun activities, including opportunities to beat the pro and compete for the nearest the pin.

Additionally, the day includes an exciting auction and raffle, providing a chance to win fantastic prizes while connecting with others who are committed to supporting people affected by breast cancer.

We are immensely grateful to our sponsors, attendees and partners who contribute to making this event a success.

Trail Run for breast cancer

The Little Lifts Trail Run brings together runners and supporters to make a meaningful difference for those impacted by breast cancer. Set in the beautiful North Norfolk countryside, the event offers a range of trail distances, allowing participants of all fitness levels to get involved and raise essential funds for those undergoing treatment.

Whether running in memory of a loved one or simply to support the cause, participants come together to share in a day filled with love and kindness!

Thanks to the unwavering support of our volunteers, corporate sponsors, and the generosity of local landowners, we’re able to bring this event to life year after year. The event raises vital funds that help more people across the UK receive Little Lifts Boxes, providing much-needed care and comfort to those navigating breast cancer treatment and beyond.
