Over £50,000 raised to support people affected by breast cancer

What a night! We hosted our October Ball which was such a special evening, bringing together our wonderful community and raising funds to support people affected by breast cancer.

We welcomed 360 guests and raised a phenomenal £50,000 to support people who face treatment for breast cancer all over the UK.

This year our ball was held at Saxon Air in their hangar, which inspired our vintage travel theme. Thank you to our generous sponsors, Sinclair, our hosts, Saxon Air and our supporting sponsors Poultec Training, Mackinnon Construction and MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company

The wonderful teams at Smoke and Wildwood helped us to bring our vision to life in this spectacular space.

To kick off the evening we welcomed key supporters of the ball to our departure lounge. Enjoying some fizz and American swing music from Station 366

Our guests then began to arrive and were welcomed with travel themed fizz kindly gifted from the amazing Adnams and enjoyed delicious canapes created by the incredible Florentina.

It was wonderful to see the space begin to fill with our lovely community of supporters, from beneficiaries to corporates sponsors. Each connecting with one another before taking to their seats.

Our guests began getting seated following a welcome from John Dewing, Group Operations Director. Shopie our events Guru and Oa. Our founder, Oa’s speech celebrated our work including delivering over 23,000 Little Lifts Boxes and launching our Surgery Box into our offering for the Little Kindness Fund.

Our very own wonderful Frannie and Kev from Ignite, hosted our Heads or Tails game. Then it was time for the amazing food from Florentina – our guests enjoyed a main course, followed by dessert.

Two inspirational beneficiaries from our community shared their stories, Emma and Sim. We would like to say a huge thank you to them for such phenomenal, moving and inspiring speeches about their experience of breast cancer and receiving a Little Lifts Box. The support and love in the room was overwhelming as our guests gave a standing ovation.

We held both a raffle and an auction which Jill and our amazing beneficiary Liz hosted. There were lots of smiles, laughter and most of all generosity of spirit shown though the auction. We really were blown away by the support shown by our lovely guests.

We were even able to make the very special announcement that we had raised over £50,000 to help us on our mission to gift 10,000 Little Lifts Boxes to people undergoing breast cancer treatment in the UK.

The rest of the evening was spent doing what we love best, connecting with our community. It was heart warming to look around the room and not only see, but also feel, the love and support for our small but mighty charity.

For the rest of the evening we danced the night away thanks to the amazing Ignite.

We would like to say a massive thank you to everyone who helped make the evening possible.
