Breast Cancer Care Box – Working with Colchester Hospital

Little Lifts Breast Cancer Gift Boxes: Supporting Breast Cancer Patients in Partnership with Colchester Hospital

Our breast cancer gift Boxes travel all over the UK, but we started out much closer to home. We are happy to share an insight into our work with one of our partner hospitals, Colchester Hospital.

Providing Gift Boxes for Breast Cancer Patients During Treatment

Our partner hospitals work with us to ensure that every person receiving chemotherapy or radiotherapy treatment for breast cancer automatically receives a Little Lifts Breast Cancer Gift Box.

Colchester Hospital: our amazing partner!

Our first partnership in Essex provides around 130 chemotherapy Boxes and 300 radiotherapy gift Boxes every year to breast cancer patients at Colchester Hospital.

‘We are really proud to be a part of the Little Lifts community and are excited to give these lovely boxes to our breast cancer patients. Such a lovely gesture to give a collection of thoughtful treats, it’s like giving a hug in a box to help boost them through their treatment!’

Tracy Cruttenden, Macmillan Advanced Radiotherapy Practitioner

‘They (beneficiaries) are thrilled and delighted to have such a wonderful and thoughtful gift. It makes such a positive impact at what is a difficult and worrying time. Little lifts are a delight to partner with, nothing is too much trouble, so flexible and understanding. It’s so lovely to have something positive but immensely practical and thoughtful too to give to our patients.’

Breast Cancer Gift Boxes That Make a Difference

Feedback from our wonderful beneficiaries is our favourite mail! Here’s what people who received their breast cancer care Box through Colchester Hospital had to say:

‘I just wanted to tell you how delighted I was to receive my Little Lifts Box of treats. It really gave me a boost. It is inspiring that someone who received cancer treatment has gone on to set up this charity to help others undergoing a similar experience. Thank you so much!’ – Sue Houghton

‘I was given your ‘Little Lifts’ gift Box on the first day of my radiation treatment. I was so nervous and when the nurse gave me the Box I burst into tears as it was such a lovely thing to do. Such kindness and made me feel so much better. Thank you so much.’ – Clare Oliver

‘After having radiotherapy a few years ago for  a different cancer treatment, this little Box was a lovely surprise and lift. This time I was lucky to only need 6 courses of radiotherapy and so was surprised I got a Box. All the goodies I have made good use of. Thank you so much Little Lifts. A wonderful idea.’ – Anonymous

‘So kind, and such a lovely surprise! Loved all the little treats, and am using them… Quite scary after months of ops, appointments and treatments. Suddenly it’s just down to me and my medication. The ‘Little Lifts’ are a tangible form of ongoing care. Thank you so much.’ – Angela Maskery
