Nearly 400 guests joined us to welcome in the festive season at our Christmas-themed Ball. A phenomenal total of £62,000 was raised to support people who are facing treatment for breast cancer all over the UK.
Thank you to our generous headline sponsors, Sinclair and Partridge Mortgage Services, our hosts, Saxon Air, for donating the space and covering security costs for the evening, as well as our supporting sponsor, Mackinnon Construction.
Our brilliant events guru, Shopie, worked with Laura from Big Sky Event Management to pull together a wonderful evening (and our biggest event of the year!).
To kick off the evening, we welcomed key supporters of the Ball to enjoy some festive carols with the brilliant RockavoX Community Choir.
Our guests then began to arrive and were welcomed with fizz and kombucha, kindly gifted by the amazing Adnams and Oichi, along with delicious canapes created by the incredible Florentina.
We loved seeing our community fill this vast space and connect, from beneficiaries to corporate supporters.
Our guests began getting seated, followed by a welcome from Hannah Colledge, HR and Wellbeing Co-Ordinator at Saxon Air, Shopie Houghton-Hood, Events and Community Fundraising Manager and Oa Hackett, Founder. Oa’s speech celebrated our work, including delivering over 37,800 Little Lifts Boxes and our Community Events for people affected by breast cancer.
Our very own wonderful Lizzie and Kev from Ignite, hosted our Heads or Tails game. Then it was time for the amazing food from Florentina – our guests enjoyed a main course, followed by dessert.
Two inspirational beneficiaries from our community shared their stories, Trish and Steven. We would like to say a huge thank you to them for being brave enough to share their stories in front of over 400 people. Their speeches were nothing short of inspiring, Trish shared her experience as a beneficiary and Steven shared his and his wife Amy’s experience, who was a very special member of the Little Lifts Community. Our speakers were met with support and love from our guests, who gave a standing ovation.
We held a raffle, an online auction thanks to Jumblebee, and a live auction, which Jon (Trustee), Shopie and Oa hosted. We cannot thank our guests enough for their generosity of spirit, we were blown away by their support.
We were even able to make the very special announcement that we had raised over £62,000 to support our mission to gift 12,500 Little Lifts Boxes in 2025 to people undergoing breast cancer treatment in the UK.
For the rest of the evening, we did what we love most—connecting with our wonderful community! It fills our hearts with so much joy to look around and not only see, but also feel, the love and support for our small but mighty charity.
Thanks to the amazing Ignite, who had us all dancing the night away.
We would like to say a massive thank you to everyone who helped make the evening possible.
