Breast cancer Surgery Box first birthday!

It's a year on since we delivered our first ever Surgery Box to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital. Since then we have been able to support 581 people affected by breast cancer.

A little kindness goes a long way!

The pilot launch of our Surgery Box at NNUH was particularly special as it is the  hospital that our founder, Oa, received her treatment at. The teams also influenced products included in our Boxes and continue to ensure every patient receiving surgery, chemotherapy and radiotherapy for breast cancer is given a Box of kindness!

The Surgery Box pilot was such a success that the pilot has now been rolled out to our Little Kindness Fund. This means that anyone in the UK receiving surgery (a lumpectomy or mastectomy) for breast cancer can apply for a Little Lifts Surgery Box via our Little Kindness Fund online portal.

Supporting breast cancer surgery patients

Our Surgery Box includes a range of items specifically chosen to support breast cancer patients undergoing this treatment. Figures from Cancer Research show that 81% of people diagnosed with breast cancer have surgery to remove the tumour.

Simon Pain, Lead Consultant Surgeon said:

“We feel very privileged to be able to work collaboratively with such an inspirational charity to provide thoughtful luxury items, carefully chosen for patients having breast cancer surgery.

To mark the year anniversary of the Little Lifts charity providing surgical Boxes for breast cancer patients having surgery at the Norfolk and Norwich Hospital, we would like to say a collective “thank you”.’

Celebrating this milestone

We cannot thank NNUH enough for their kind support and ensuring this delivery was extra special. From a one year balloon and bunting, to the team gathering together and presenting our founder Oa with a lovely framed thank you for our small but mighty charities’ support.
