We had 15 local sellers, the opportunity to meet Father Christmas, kid’s crafts, tea, coffee and cakes. Raising over £1656, how amazing! This was all thanks to our lovely ‘Little Seeds’ Volunteer Fundraising Committee (Lizzie Neale, Sarah Walkeden, Louise Nerney, Laura Greig and Sarah Goddard) who organised the Christmas Market with help from events guru Shopie. The team were busy beavering away Friday night getting all of the festive decorations and floor plan set up ready for the morning.
What a great job they did! There were smiles and hugs all around as people arrived, filling the space with festive cheer. Our lovely stall holders were ready to welcome our community with their beautiful products. The Father Christmas area was a winter wonderland with Christmas trees, lights and gifts. There was an array of wonderful donated cakes, which people enjoyed with hot drinks throughout the day and our lovely volunteers provided a fun selection of children’s festive crafts.

Meeting Father Christmas
‘Thank you. Thank you so much for hosting a wonderful Christmas market with a very important cause at its heart. You were all so welcoming it was like stepping foot in someone’s home. My girl Laura Greig was as fabulous as always. Beautiful stalls, incredible cakes and Father Christmas was adored by my girls who NEVER visit him usually due to being too scared. We hugged, we laughed and we loved. Thank you.’
This message we received after the event says everything. When we host events here are Little Lifts we love for everyone to feel part of our community. It was so touching to hear a space we made felt like ‘home’.
A huge thank you to everyone who helped bring this event together and all who attended, what a lovely way to kick off the festive season!
