We welcomed 322 guests and raised a phenomenal £40,000 to support people who face treatment for breast cancer all over the UK. This Autumnal themed evening was held at Caistor Hall and kindly sponsored by Sinclair and Rogers & Norton Solicitors. We are so overwhelmed by the kindness, love and generosity of spirit shown for our small but mighty charity.
The wonderful teams at Smoke and Wildwood, Florentina, and Caistor Hall helped us to bring our Autumnal vision to life.
Our guests were welcomed with fizz kindly gifted from the amazing Adnams and enjoyed delicious canapes by the incredible Florentina. Seeing our amazing community of supporters from beneficiaries to corporate sponsors connecting with each other before taking their seats was lovely.
Our guests began getting seated following a welcome from our wonderful trustee Jill. Our fabulous trustee Karyn and then our incredible founder Oa gave speeches about the work of our small but mighty charity. This included celebrating some of our achievements this year including our 10th hospital partnership with Addenbrooke’s Hospital, the pilot launch of our surgery Box at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital and approaching delivering 15,000 Boxes.
Then it was time for the amazing food from Florentina – our guests enjoyed a main course, followed by dessert.
Two very special members of our community shared their stories, Graham, our volunteer, followed by Laura, our Ambassador. We would like to say a huge thank you to them for such phenomenal, moving and inspiring speeches about what Little Lifts means to them. The support and love in the room was overwhelming as our guests gave a standing ovation.
We held both a raffle and an auction which Jill and our amazing events guru Shopie hosted. There were lots of smiles, laughter and most of all generosity of spirit shown though the auction. We really were blown away by the support shown by our lovely guests.
The rest of the evening was spent doing what we love best, connecting with our community. It was heart warming to look around the room and not only see, but also feel, the love and support for our small but mighty charity.
For the rest of the evening we danced the night away thanks to the amazing Ignite, who kindly surprised us with playing free of charge.
