We are thrilled to announce a very special campaign launching on World Kindness Day (and our birthday month!) on 13th November, Bakes for Kindness.
What is Bakes for Kindness?
A special fundraising campaign launching for World Kindness Day (and our birthday month!) on 13th November, encouraging our community across the UK to host their own bake events and raise funds for our small charity.
Participants will receive our brand-new fundraising pack*, designed especially for our wonderful bakers, hosts of afternoon teas and bake sales. The pack includes: napkins, bunting, invites, allergy cards, stickers, and a card fundraising box. You can also add an exclusive tea towel when you register! *We kindly ask for a small contribution when you purchase your fundraising pack to help cover our costs.
When and where is it?
Host your event on or around World Kindness Day (13th November). This is a virtual event, so anyone, anywhere can get involved!
How to get involved?
1. Register for £5 or £16.50 to receive a tea-towel with your pack!
2. Receive your fundraising pack in the post, along with an online fundraising page and tips for hosting your event!
3. Host your event and raise £50 (or more!)
Why?
Bake a little, give a lot.
Here’s how your support makes a difference:
“Lovely Boxes of love”
“It is not a Box of cutlery and tea bags, it is a gesture of compassion and understanding sent without judgement and with no expectation, from fellow members of a club that no one wants to be part of.”
“It reminded me I wasn’t alone”
Why we are hosting Bakes for Kindness
Little Lifts was founded through a bake sale! Our first fundraiser in Oa (our founder’s) garden saw her amazing family, friends, and colleagues enjoy plenty of tasty treats while listening to music and eventually dancing in the rain (classic British summer weather!) We raised over £5000 that day, and the rest is history!
You asked, we listened.
It is important to us that everyone in our community can participate in this event, regardless of where you are in the UK. We LOVE the idea of this event uniting communities—from families and friends to work colleagues and customers—all supporting those affected by breast cancer.
Help us show that a little kindness goes a long way!
We would like to say a big thank you to the amazing Insurancewith for supporting this fundraising campaign.
As well as a shoutout to Goat Shed for providing lovely bakes and a space for our imagery.
