We are thrilled to announce this exciting new event, a Bollywood Workshop thanks to the amazing support from Tina at Jaya Dance.

What is the Bollywood Workshop?

An interactive and vibrant event, where you will be transported into the lively movement and colourful expression that is Bollywood.

There will be a short talk on the origins of the workshop dance with bindis for all participants. Then you will learn a Bollywood/Bhangra dance routine and perform the routine. Followed by a glass of fizz.

Bollywood dancing is the commercial name for modern Indian Dance made popular by ‘Jai Ho’ from Slumdog Millionaire. The unique style of dance has its roots in classical and folk dance with the occasional Latino and Arabic influence.

Saturday 6th September, 2-4pm, at Wymondham Central Hall, NR18 0QB

A glass of fizz after the workshop

We recommend:

Dressing in vibrant colours
Wear something comfortable to dance in
Wear a light slipper or bare feet
Bring water

The workshop is 90 minutes with 30 minutes for prosecco and heads or tails
Parking available
The workshop is available to ages 10+
